Mexican actor Pedro Armendariz Jr., a beloved mainstay in both Hollywood movies and films from his native Mexico, has died at the age of 71 in a New York hospital where he was being treated for cancer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Armendariz Jr.’s career spanned over six decades. He appeared in Hollywood features such as The Legend of Zorro, The Mexican, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico. His upcoming role in Casa de mi Padre, starring Will Ferrell and friends Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, will be his final onscreen performance.
